I have a little extra cash to spend and currently use a small intuos4 tablet. I am getting the urge to buy a medium intuos4. What do you folks think I should do?

I have an intuos3 tablet, and it suits my needs for 2d art drawing and painting very well, but it is getting old, and I'll have to replace it soon. I saw Bamboo tablets for $99. $129, and $199, while Intuos can be twice as much. Are intuos4 tablets better
The Bamboo has 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity. The Intuos4 has over 2000 levels. What this means is there is a smoother transition in brush stroke thickness and color blending with the Intuos4.
It's common for people to think the Bamboo

Wacom Intuos 4 Graphics Tablet Review
Wow, these new Intuos 4 graphics tablets are pretty awesome. Check out my video review. You can also check out more reviews on my YouTube Channel ...
What's in the Box?
Intuos4 medium pen tablet, Intuos4 Grip Pen, Intuos4 mouse, pen stand, ten replacement nibs (five standard nibs, one flex nib, one stroke nib, and three hard felt nibs), nib extractor, 2.5m USB cable, Quick Start Guide, installation CD (includes tablet driver software and electronic user manual).
First of all, I should tell that the unique tablet which has been created before, is Wacom Intuos3, thus, I will spend the comparisons, between Intuos3 and Intuos4.
I think that Intuos4 - definitely worthy modernization from Intuos3 (or any other tablets in general).
Intuos4, instead of grey metal kind Intuos3, accepts the cool black matte end with high shine black group of the party. It is many thinner than intuos3, much lower profile, and 16:9 an image format.
Since most of us have widescreen monitors, I think it is very thoughtful of Wacom to update the aspect ratio of the Intuos4, but be warned though; if you use a 4:3 monitor, you might experience problems with drawing ratios since the 16:9 active area will be ' squeezed ' to fit into a 4:3 layout; what this means is that if you draw a tilted line on the tablet, the line will appear to be squeezed horizontally and stretched vertically on the 4:3 monitor. Of course, you can manually limit the active area in the Wacom configuration software, but that would force you to sacrifice a portion of working area, so take this into consideration when purchasing this tablet.
The biggest change of design from Intuos3 - an arrangement express keys. Because of dexterous design Wacom has placed all keys on one party of a tablet, thus is more keys accessible to users. That I think is extremely thoughtful of Wacom, that for the Small tablet, it went with 2 tables USB, one inclined upwards and another downwards to please and intended for the left hand and the configuration intended for the right hand. Note, however, that Small version Intuos4 does not have display OLED to the right of express keys, and instead of 8, you only receive 6 keys (but it more than enough for me).
For those working as a professional graphic artist, retoucher or who have used a tablet in any kind in their professional, Wacom would not be a name that you will be unfamiliar with. Its previous flagship product, the Intuos 3, is practically an industry standard with almost all artists swearing by it. With such large shoes to fill, its certainly

23/04/2010naomiHaving never used a tablet before, I was really excited to try one out, especially since I was starting with a tablet that is made to be pretty sweet. Initially, it was hard to get used to using the tablet (and admittedly I was just excited to write my name successfully), but I would hope this would be the case with anyone who hadnt used a tablet before.

Big savings on the Wacom Intuos4 Large - perfect if you work on very large sized artwork or digitize printed artwork.
Wacom Bamboo Connect CTL470
21.05.12
The pleasantly tacky drawing surface measures 5.8 by 3.6 inches, which is the same as before. This time around, you can detach the USB cord, which helps if you need to move the tablet on your desk for some reason, although there's no wireless option on this lowest-cost version.
Speaking of which, Wacom broke the Bamboo line into three new tablets. The Bamboo Connect CTL470 ($79.99) is a basic model intended for collaborating, sketching out ideas, marking up documents, and taking notes. It includes Autodesk SketchBook Express 2011, and is the subject of this review. The Bamboo Capture CTH470 ($99.99, 3.5 stars) adds multi-touch, compatibility with the company's Wireless Option and full versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 and Nik Color Efex Pro Filters 3.0, which is a good deal for the software alone. The Bamboo Create CTH670 ($199.99) is a larger version that doubles the size of the drawing area, in order to accommodate broader brush strokes. The Create also adds an eraser to the stylus, and you get a copy of Corel Painter Essentials 4.0, plus all of the above software (with Photoshop Elements bumped to version 9, presumably thanks to a licensing issue).
The problem which I have with express keys, consists that in Intuos3, keys are generated in another way so that the site of a certain key was very easy to define, without having necessity constantly to look downwards; however, for intuos4 as all keys are generated precisely same, it is extremely easy, make active a wrong key... It in particular takes place with Small Intuos4 as there is no visual sign concerning each key is appointed to what function, doing difficult navigation. However, I think that it should not be the most part of a problem after some time of reception of use to (I only had it during the day).
The new improved surface of a tablet, probably, as close as you can reach with real experience of the Handle on a paper with a digital tablet. Surface Intuos3's is ' extremely slippery ', and its attraction feels like plastic on plastic; however, surface Intuos4's forces me to feel really desire to involve a paper with almost fine travel and draught. Various feathers offer different levels of a friction, modeling various environments. This concept has been undertaken in Intuos3, but I think that Intuos4 have really improved the formula, doing tablet attraction feels almost the same as moving ahead a paper.
I usually do not speak about the handle stand, but the stand of the handle for Intuos4 - definitely worthy mention. High shine the black end, the handle stand can be bent opened, showing branch of storage of a feather with cracks to keep 10 additional feathers
(and a feather ex-tractor). I was in the habit to waste a trace of the feathers of the handle all time, but it is no more, thus, prestigiousness to Wacom for their attention to details.
The tablet goes with a large quantity of software (Photoshop Elements, the Notebook, etc.)
What can I tell, pro this production? Ambidextrous design, more express keys, great drawing surface, feels like pen-on-paper, thinner lighter than Intuos3, improved customization software, many useful functions, improved grip pen, comfortable to use, 10 replacement nibs (should last 2-5 years), innovating pen holder serves as a storage for replacement nibs, color rings to give the grip pen a different feel, tons of extra software, great value.
Certainly, I can result to you some contra. For example: rice, only 16:9 is offered, may not be the best choice if you prefer the smooth drawing surface of Intuos3, a bit too big for a small tablet (compared to Intuos3 Small), high gloss side panel is a fingerprint magnet and The rubber grip on the pen attracts dust and lint.
All in all, Intuos4 boasts many notable upgrades from the previous Intuos3 line. If you have been holding off for an Intuos3, then this is perhaps the time for you to finally jump on the Intuos boat. Due to the size limitations, the Small Intuos4 lacks a few features available in the other models of the Intuos4 line (notably the OLED display, dual USB ports, etc.), but the price difference between the Small and the Medium tablets does not seem to justify for the price jump (especially since I don't have the space to accommodate for a medium tablet).
Wacom Intuos4 Wireless Tablet « UGNN
by George Engel
When I saw that Wacom just came out with a wireless Tablet, I started to think how easy it would make my life, being able to work from one Mac to another, just be swiveling my chair with the Tablet in my lap. Oh my!
Why would I do that? Well, I’m working on my Newsletter and Photoshop on my Mac Pro with the larger display, then I swivel to my iMac to check my Mail and relax with a game or two. Then I switch back to my Mac Pro and my Newsletter. Real nice.
More wishful thinking is using it for my User Group Demos since it can be used from 33 feet away. That means the Presenter can sit down with the Tablet in their lap and draw/sketch or work with a photo anywhere in the audience. Our resident Graphic Artist will like that. This is accomplished with a 3.7 volt Wacom Lithium-Ion Battery in the Tablet. You recharge it via the USB port when a little Tablet LED turns red.
